The history of Maxim's is also asoociated with Sem, one of the most emblematic cartoonists of La Belle Epoque in the early 20's. He used to sit at a table to draw in his inimitable style the famous, near famous and even the infamous customers of the restaurant. The original menu remains today decorated by a superb drawing of this tremendous cartoonist. The museum inside the restaurant presents a wide selection of Sem's work.
